CLOVERS Inc. Drops Special Tease Of Okami Sequel

Yep. They're working on it!

Okami 2, Hideki Kamiya, CLOVERS Inc

When Hideki Kamiya left Platinum Games, he made it clear that he did so because he wanted to go to a place where he could make games he was happy developing. Thus, he made a group with like-minded individuals called CLOVERS Inc. The group unveiled their first title back at The Game Awards in 2024 when they announced the long-awaited Okami Sequel. While there wasn’t a lot teased in that initial trailer, there was hope that there would be more “eyes on it” soon enough. Except, we didn’t hear anything throughout 2025.

Now, in 2026, things have finally changed…kind of. Hideki Kamiya decided to drop a special “work-in-progress” video showing the team’s character modeler and what they were working on…by putting “Top Secret Clovers Only” over all the screens so we couldn’t see much. Well played, Kamiya.

So, yeah, there’s not much there…but it’s something. The team promised that work is going on with the game, and possibly with others they have in mind, in a previous post, and Kamiya won’t release something unless he knows it’s worthy of release. Until we get a new trailer, take heart in the fact that things are getting made and that the Okami Sequel will drop…eventually.
