Pragmata Producer Thanks Fans For Early Support Of New IP

He sees your anticipation!

One of the classic questions of the “internet era” that we live in is “Do the developers see what we post, and how excited, or not excited, we are for certain things?” As with all questions of this nature, it’s a bit hard to tell, as some barrel on without “reading the room,” and others adjust things depending on community feedback. In the case of Capcom, it is hoping that its next new IP, Pragmata, takes off, and in a special Famitsu article, Producer Naoto Oyama noted that he’s seen how the game ranks highly in fan polls focused on “anticipated titles,” and is grateful to them for that:

“We’ll do our best to make sure as many people as possible know about Pragmata, which will finally be released on April 24, 2026, and that they’ll pick it up and enjoy it! Since the reveal announcement in 2020, we’ve received so much support that it’s consistently ranked high in Famitsu’s most anticipated new releases, which has been very encouraging. We’re making the final adjustments to live up to nearly six years’ worth of expectations, so we hope you’ll look forward to the release and wait just a little longer.”

I’ve seen the Famitsu charts myself, and thanks to some recent releases, the game is currently the #1 most anticipated game in Japan, and thanks to the release of a demo, which you can see our thoughts on here, more are starting to buy into the hype.

Plus, it’s clear that Capcom wants the game to be as successful as possible, which is why it ensured that the game will be on Nintendo Switch 2 at launch. Hopefully, all will go as the producer desires.
