Pokemon Legends Z-A Poll Reveals Fan Favorite Party Members and Mega Evolutions

Who did you catch and evolve?
By Todd BlackDecember 26, 2025
Pokemon Legends Z-A

Pokemon Legends Z-A was a huge hit right out of the gate. After all, the title hit six million units sold across the Switch and Switch 2 in less than a week, and continues to sell, especially with its DLC out now. One of the things I noted in my review was that this version of Lumiose City offered plenty of Pokemon for players to comprise their party with, and it’s not always an easy thing to balance, given all the options available. In Japan, the crew at Game With decided to poll over 18,000 people to see what Pokemon they knew they wanted to get.

The poll went up to 99, but here’s a picture of the top 35 in that category:

Yep, Charizard is No.1! That shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, though, as he’s one of the most popular characters in the entire franchise. Same with Lucario at No.2 and Greninja at No.3. Personally, I love that Ampharos is at No.15, as that’s my favorite. There were some surprises, though, as Chandeleur was at No.4! Guess they really love that Ghost-type in Japan.

Another part of the poll was asking about the fans’ favorite Mega Evolutions in Pokemon Legends Z-A, and the results were just as interesting:

Yep, Charizard won once again, but Mega Starmie got in at No.2! What are the odds?

Where are YOUR favorites on this list? Or, did they not make the list at all? Let me know in the comments below!
