Bandai Namco Celebrates 30 Years of Tales With Berseria Remastered Announcement

In the world of RPGs, there has been one constant that continues to serve as a driving force, a series fans simply cannot get enough of. That, of course, is Bandai Namco’s “Tales of Series”. Spanning more than 40 games, including mainline entries and spin-offs, the franchise has appeared across consoles, PC, and mobile devices, leaving an undeniable mark on the genre.

To celebrate this legacy, Bandai Namco recently released two videos commemorating 30 years of the “Tales of Series“, First is a heartfelt message of appreciation to its fans:

“We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the 30 years of memories we have woven with all of you. This milestone is not the end, but the beginning of a new journey.”

Followed up by a message from Yusuke Tomizawa, the General IP Producer of “Tales of Series.”

Today, December 15, 2025, the Tales of series celebrates its 30th anniversary. I would like to once again express my deepest gratitude to fans around the world who have continued to support the series over the years.

Since December 2024, we have been rolling out initiatives in advance as part of the 30th anniversary year. Starting today, as we officially enter the 30th anniversary itself, we hope to make this a year filled with even more excitement and new announcements.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, I would like to reintroduce the 30th anniversary key visual created by ufotable, which was recently unveiled. This illustration is based on the 30th anniversary theme, “Now, back into the story once again.” It features characters from titles celebrating anniversaries between 2025 and 2026, along with characters from titles that have recently been released as remasters. The artwork symbolizes the 30th anniversary by depicting characters inviting players back into their stories.

Tales of Berseria Remastered

With the hope that as many people around the world as possible will experience the Tales of series, we want to continue providing opportunities to play past titles. To that end, we aim to bring as many remastered titles as possible to players as quickly as we can, even if it is just one title at a time. We will continue to push forward with the remaster project with this goal in mind.

As previously announced, our next release is Tales of Berseria Remastered. With this, we have announced three remastered titles this year. Since these have primarily been more recent entries released based on development readiness, we will continue the project so that, starting in 2026, we can also deliver even older classic titles.

At the same time, we are also carefully preparing for the future beyond that. New stories and new encounters with characters are the most important elements of the Tales of series and are what fans look forward to most.

As home console development has evolved, the time required to create each title has become significantly longer than in the past. However, the development of completely new entries has not stopped during this 30th anniversary, nor will it stop in the future. While it is not yet the right time to share specific details, we hope you will look forward to the future of the Tales of series.

That concludes what I wanted to share regarding what you can look forward to as we head into the latter half of the 30th anniversary celebration. We will continue to move our projects forward toward the future, encouraged by your continued support.

Thank you very much.

Personally, I’d love to see Tales of Eternia, or Tales of Xillia 2 get handled first, even bring Tales of Rebirth over to North America, officially, for the first time. But Tales of Berseria Remastered coming up hot and releasing next February 27, 2026, ain’t so bad either.
