Allow me to rewind the clock back a few years. When All Elite Wrestling started, they only had their PPVs and AEW Dynamite for fans to enjoy. Then, they started to “branch out” by doing a show called AEW Dark, which would feature “Dark Matches” that are meant to be unviewed outside of the arena, but in a twist, they would matter, and sometimes be big-time matches. Both it and its follow-up show, Dark Elevation, were on YouTube, and made the promotion even easier to watch. However, when AEW Collision came around, and Warner Bros Discovery expanded AEW’s TV deal, part of the arrangement was that Dark and Elevation would be cut.
How big a “loss” that was will vary in the minds of the AEW faithful you talk to, but few deny that having the shows gave wrestlers more chances to show off their stuff, win over the crowd, and so on. The current AEW women’s tag team champs, Willow Nightengale and Harley Cameron, both debuted on Dark. Anyway, during the most recent show, which was in Cardiff, Wales, AEW head Tony Khan revealed that for one night only, in light of the holiday season, AEW Dark would come back to YouTube. The matches were filmed for the excited Cardiff crowd and will premiere on Tuesday. Here’s the lineup:

As noted by Fightful, Tony Khan had the following to say on the matter:
“Because I love Cardiff so much, I went to the great executives at Warner Brothers Discovery, the great company that powers the engine that makes AEW possible. I said to them: Please, it’s the holiday season, because there’s hardcore AEW fans in Cardiff, I want to bring back, for one night only, AEW Dark!”
If you’re up for watching these special matches, go to the AEW YouTube channel on Tuesday night.
