New Site Drops Key Metroid Prime 4 Beyond Details

Difficulty settings, what you need to know beforehand, and more!

Metroid Prime 4 Beyond

We’re almost there. Can you feel it? Metroid Prime 4 Beyond is LESS THAN A WEEK away from launch on the Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. It’s been a long journey to get here, but it’s almost here. To that end, Nintendo wants you to know everything possible about the game from Retro Studios before it drops. So, they created a special “recap website” that highlights all the various elements you’ll need to know before getting the title next week. Such as what, you ask? How about confirmation of multiple difficulty modes? There will be Casual Mode, Normal Mode, and Hard Mode:

““Casual” mode lowers enemy HP and reduces the amount of damage you take , making it recommended for those playing the Metroid Prime series for the first time or those who want to enjoy it casually. If you’re confident in your skills, try “Hard” mode, which is unlocked after clearing the game on “Normal.””

Sounds fair, and makes it a game that you can easily get into, should you be new. Speaking of which, the game is the 4th entry in this particular part of the franchise, but Nintendo wants to make it clear that you don’t need to have played the trilogy to understand what’s going on:

“The main series up to Metroid Prime 3: Corruption revolved around the story of Phazon, an energy substance that mutates living things, but Metroid Prime 4 Beyond begins a new story, so even if you haven’t played the previous titles in the series, you can still enjoy it.

That will also be very welcoming to new players. Check out the site so you can get even more details on the game, its mechanics, the new world Samus Aran gets dropped into, and more.

Then, get the game on December 4th!
