During the Xbox Partner Preview 2025, THQ Nordic and Tarsier Studios, the creators of Little Nightmares I and II, revealed that the highly anticipated horror game REANIMAL will launch worldwide on Friday, February 13, 2026, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC.
Alongside the announcement, THQ Nordic and Tarsier also released console demos for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players on those platforms, as well as PC, can now dive into the darkness and get their first taste of REANIMAL’s unsettling world. Nintendo Switch 2 players will have to wait a bit longer, since pre orders and a Switch specific demo are coming soon.
For fans who were disappointed that Tarsier did not develop Little Nightmares III and were hoping to see the studio return to the style it perfected, REANIMAL looks like the project worth watching. And for anyone who loves horror games, this one arrives right before Valentine’s Day, so consider making it a terrifying date night.
Pre orders also begin today for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, which include the Foxhead and Muttonhead Masks as a bonus. In a world filled with unspeakable horrors, a mask might be the only thing hiding you from what lurks in the dark.
