Metroid Prime 4 Beyond Gets Overview Trailer

By Todd BlackNovember 17, 2025
Metroid Prime 4 Beyond

Can you believe we’re almost to the launch of Metroid Prime 4 Beyond? It’s true, though. We’re actually a little over two weeks to launch, and so Nintendo took the opportunity to drop a special overview trailer for the game that better highlights the journey that Samus will take, including some welcome surprises. The game starts out with a Galactic Federation research facility that Samus is brought to after her rival, Sylux, appears and attempts to make off with some key tech. Naturally, things go wrong, and Samus is sucked into a new world called Viewros.

Like the three previous entries in the series, Samus will have plenty of abilities at her beck and call, including classics like missiles, the Charge Shot, and the Morph Ball. Her new “psychic powers” come from the planet and the civilization that went extinct there, and will give her even more ways to traverse terrain and fight enemies. Plus, her new ride, the Vi-O-La, can attack enemies, smash crystals to help power up Samus, and more.

A key new detail from the trailer is that some of the Galactic Federation soldiers from the research facility will also be on Viewros. Now, Samus has to help them and even work alongside them to get off the planet alive.

Check out the full overview trailer below, and get Metroid Prime 4 Beyond when it drops on December 4th.
