Calamity Angels: Special Delivery Opening Video Unveiled

By Scott AdamsNovember 13, 2025
Youtube thumbnail for the opening video of Calamity Angels: Special Delivery

If you are like me and follow the news and information of Calamity Angels: Special Delivery, then you woke up to a fantastic gift from Idea Factory International. The opening video from the game got dropped today with the opening song!

The website got an update, too, with some more information on the combat system. One integral one is the mood system. You can tell a character’s mood in combat based on the portrait. If you make them do a move they don’t feel up to at the time, their portrait will change to show their distaste with that action. The more you shift their mood down, the less likely they are to take orders from you. The location of the fight and the enemies present in the fight will also alter their mood. Some enemies are more annoying to them than others.

Special conditions happen during combat that can affect the battle, too. For instance, if there is treasure in the area, the team’s treasure hunter, Suliya, will just take off, leaving one less party member in the fight.

There is added importance to the delivery system, too. There is energy imbued into every package you deliver called Omoi power. This power is strengthened by caring for other people. It also shows a map now and how the area maps work. Each map is a 2D plane with icons that show the spots you can travel to. You will need to be strategic in showing up at the recipient’s door while the package still has Omoi power. Each package has a set amount of power, and the longer you take, the less power the package has.

The artwork still shines in this title! Kei Nanameda put a lot of love into the designs and the art in Calamity Angels: Special Delivery. I would recommend taking a look at the systems side of the website, just to see the screenshots and take in the art. I know the art has grabbed my attention! Looking forward to the game’s launch!

Calamity Angels: Special Delivery is available for preorder for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe at IFI Online Stores. The game launches physically and digitally on February 17, 2026.
