Dynasty Warriors: Origins New DLC Reveal

By Scott AdamsNovember 11, 2025
Key art for Dynasty Warriors: Origins DLC Visions of Four Heroes

We got a small tease of new DLC for Dynasty Warriors: Origins with the Dynasty Warriors anniversary video earlier this year. Now, thanks to today’s State of Play, we have more information on what it actually will contain.

Heck yes, Visions of Four Heroes is the title of the DLC. It will include more stages and will let you join forces with Yuan Shao, Lu Bu, Zhang Jiao, and Dong Zhuo. This will be what-if scenarios for these forces, which can vastly alter the story of the three kingdoms. Ziluan will be able to join up with Zhuhe, a character I was disappointed we couldn’t join with, nor use as the second player for co-op. Diao Chan will also officially be playable as a comrade character. There is a third playable character that is a mystery currently. I wonder if it might be Zuo Ci as he would fit in rather well in this narrative. Though it does say the character will be new, so hey, maybe we are getting the fan-requested Liao Hua. I always get excited to hear about new characters that get unveiled.

There will be two new weapons in the Visions of Four Heroes DLC, too. The new weapons are the bow and the rope dart. Kind of surprised the bow wasn’t already a weapon choice, but I will gladly take more weapon styles to try out in DLC.

For a limited time, anyone who pre-orders DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS Visions of Four Heroes will receive an exclusive outfit for the protagonist, the “Yellow Turban Attire”. Designed to embody the heroic spirit of DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS, this costume lets players take to the battlefield clad in the symbolic garb of the Yellow Turban Rebellion.

DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS is already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS Visions of Four Heroes will release simultaneously alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 version on Jan. 22, 2026. The game features Japanese and English voices with texts in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. You can read The Outerhaven’s Review before deciding to buy.
