Riot Games has revealed that 2XKO will have its very first major tournament next year at Frosty Faustings. The first major will also be a mixed major tournament. Thanks to this, both one or two players will be able to qualify. The total pot is going at $50,000 USD. With about 2 or so months since the Early Release, the game is giving players 2 extra months to level up for the competition.
Even making it to Top 10 of this will net at least $1250 USD at the tournament with a 50/50 split for mixed teams. The top 24 player/teams will still take home something. 2XKO can do mixed teams natively. It could be either 2 vs 2 or 1 vs 2 in the online lobbies and offline. Embarassment can come for anyone even when you double the fun. Speaking of duos, the Duos Only Tournament will be adding an additional $1000 USD pot bonus.
2KXO had also played a part in the Evo France major last month with Supernoon and WaWa going head-to-head. WaWa took it home with Ekko and Darius as their champions. 256 entries were counted as the final number for the side tournament.
