Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will be one of the big Capcom titles in 2026. The spinoff franchise has come a long way, and the dev team went far to ensure that this game had not only even better graphics than before, but had more RPG stylings to truly hang its hat on. Today, Capcom dropped a plethora of information about the title, including not one, but TWO trailers that highlighted the game’s world, characters, monsters, numerous conflicts, and more. In the first trailer, we learned that our main character has far more to deal with than just a blight upon the land known as “The Encroachment.”
As the land slowly becomes swallowed up, they are soon confronted by their own mother on another Rathalos! With the truth in short supply, and time running out, you will have to travel the land, make new allies, fight many monsters, and figure out a way to stop the stone blight from taking everything that all the people and monsters of the land hold dear.

Then, in the second trailer, we learn more about the game’s main lands, Azuria and Vermeil, both of which will have a huge role to play in the narrative to come.
It’s in this other trailer that we learn that the twin Rathalos bear a special mark that reminds the kingdoms of a civil war from centuries past. Thus, this is an omen of doom, and that’s why they attempt to kill one of them. You’ll choose to play as the prince or princess of Vermeil and take the reins of the Rathalos in your company to figure out what is really happening in the realm, and how to stop it.
