Metroid II Return Of Samus OST Added To Nintendo Music

She's back...in musical form!
By Todd BlackOctober 21, 2025
Metroid II Return Of Samus, Nintendo

It’s honestly a bit amazing how far Nintendo Music has come since it was first announced. At first, people weren’t sure what to make of it. Now, though, it’s clear that Nintendo wants it to do well, and they want to put as many tracks on it as possible for fans to enjoy. Plus, you can tease out certain “notions and ideas” that The Big N has when certain releases happen. For example, the latest OST to get added is Metroid II Return Of Samus, which is appropriate for the end of 2025 for one very simple reason.

That reason is that Metroid Prime 4 is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 in less than two months. So, it makes sense that Nintendo would want to “show off” Samus in multiple ways, and this definitely qualifies. Another thing that helps Metroid II Return Of Samus isn’t just that it was the first of many titles from the series on handheld platforms, but this was the game that MercurySteam remade on the 3DS. They were so good at this that Nintendo gave them the reins on the 2D side of the franchise, which led to the creation of Metroid Dread, the current best-selling game in the franchise’s history.

Music from the Game Boy game Metroid II – Return of Samus is now available on the #NintendoMusic app!

And now, you can hear the original soundtrack that helped continue the legend of Samus Aran. Plus, it’s possible that more games from the franchise will get added to Nintendo Music before the year is done.
