Toei Animation announced on Monday that the original anime project Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara is in production. The announcement was made alongside the release of a short promotional video, which can be viewed below.
The main cast, additional staff, and a key visual were also revealed. The cast includes Aya Yamane as Maru and Karin Takahashi as Coco. Katsuie Shibata is writing the script while Sei Nakashima, Masatsugu Saitou, and Masayuki Gotou serve as character designers. The anime is a co-production between Toei Animation and Tsuburaya Productions. No information about the release date has been released.
The original Kaiju Decode anime was a 9-minute short released in 2021. It was co-produced by Tsuburaya Productions and Studio ARECT and received a 5.81 score on My Anime List.
