Evolve has gone gold, celebrates with full intro cinematic

By Keith MitchellJanuary 8, 2015

For everyone who has been eagerly awaiting the release of Evolve, which includes myself, there is good news. Today Turtle Rock Studios has announced that Evolve has gone gold and is on the way to the presses as we speak, er… as I type this. And to celebrate the recent news the team has released the full opening cinematic from Evolve for all to see.

While everyone else was celebrating the start of 2015, the Evolve team was eagerly awaiting final certification from first parties. And now we’re happy to announce that Evolve has “Gone Gold.”

Evolve is out the door. Off to the manufacturers. After that, it gets shipped to retail stores in time for launch on February 10th!

To celebrate, we’re doing a couple things:

For this big milestone (and as a way to thanking everyone for their support throughout the development process) we’re sharing Evolve’s awesome intro cinematic with everyone.

Now, with Evolve through certification, we’re turning our attention to any lessons we can learn from the Open Beta next week, then it’s back to work on some of the awesome DLC content that we’ve been teasing you about. Like, say, that fourth Monster.

We’ll have a lot more to share with you soon about all the additional content coming down the road, but for now all of Turtle Rock Studios (and the folks at 2K) want to say, “Thank you!”

Evolve releases on February 10th, 2015, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Expect to see our review on the title shortly afterwards.
