Pokemon Legends Z-A Release Sparking Sales Of Other Pokemon Titles

There are a lot of Poke-titles to get on Switch.

Pokemon Legends Arceus, Pokemon Legends Z-A

As we wrote not too long ago, Pokemon Legends Z-A is out right now after a LONG wait. Seriously, it’s been almost painful waiting for this game to come out. Many expect this to be a big seller, especially regarding the Nintendo Switch 2, which many feel will move a lot of units through this new release. However, the game is also releasing on the OG Switch, and that led to an interesting discovery by “insider” Stealth. He looked at the Nintendo Switch eShop and realized that within the Top 100 of the chart, several Poke-titles were upon it in pretty high spots.

For example, the predecessor to Pokemon Legends Z-A, Pokemon Legends Arceus, is at #15 on the eShop. That’s followed by both Gen 9 titles, and then one of the Gen 5 remakes, a Gen 8 title, and even the special Kanto remake featuring Pikachu. You can check out the full list below:

Pokemon Legends Z-A isn't the only Pokemon game doing well on the Switch eShop:

Pokemon Legends Z-A – #1
Pokemon Legends Arceus – #15
Pokemon Violet – #24
Pokemon Scarlet – #32
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond – #41
Pokemon Sword – #47
Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu – #53

The reason this is significant is that it not only shows the longevity of the Pokémon franchise but also how many games came out during the Switch era. It was so dominant that it sold over 100 million units on the Switch across those titles, and undoubtedly, The Pokémon Company would love for a similar number to happen with the Switch 2, starting with the newly released game.
