One of the achievement / trophy in the fantastic roguelike beat-’em-up Absolum requires you to stay airborne for 15 seconds while playing as Cider. At first glance, that sounds like a daunting challenge. The description might make you think you have to pull this off in combat while fighting enemies, but that’s not actually the case. As I discovered, there’s a much simpler way to earn it.
How to Stay Airborne for 15 Seconds with Cider
This trick feels almost like cheating because of how easy it is. Select Cider, then head over to the training dummy. Once you’re there, repeatedly use her skill attack. Cider will leap into the air and perform her grab move, which keeps her suspended. Keep pressing the skill button, and she’ll remain airborne longer with each use. Before you know it, you’ll unlock the achievement or trophy faster than it takes to learn how to throw a Hadoken in Street Fighter II.
Check out how to do so below.
We reviewed Absolum and found it to be one of the best roguelike-meets-beat-’em-up games we’ve played in quite some time. You can check out The Outerhaven’s full review of Absolum for our complete thoughts.
Absolum is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
