Joe Higashi Arrives In Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Today

By Kevin KellyOctober 12, 2025
Fatal Fury City of the Wolves Joe enters

The tiger of Southtown is stepping up today in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Joe Higashi will be joining the King of Fighters Maximum Meyhem tournament today as announced at Evo France this weekend. Sadly, this doesn’t make him tournament legal as of yet for the event.

Preecha might be the better deal for anyone on the floor looking for a bit more of a stand-in until he gets tiered. Joe is ready to take on the rest of the wolves, including his former non-canon KOF longtime bandmates Andy and Terry. It wouldn’t be a Fatal Fury game without one of the first fighters who started it all.

Joe Higashi’s Character Guide has also been released earlier this week in order to catch folks up on what’s in store for the Muay Thai master. As stated before, Joe’s got his staples such as Slash Kick, Hurricane Upper, and Tiger Kick. The uppercut Tiger Kick can be breaked for more opportunities to maximize the damage.

His horizontal Slash Kick can also be stopped with break to act as a launcher. His new Fearless Man armor move grants a bunch of follow-ups and even has projectile protection. Joe can also use it for a command grab, which is a first for the character. Tiger Torment is brand new and gives Joe that special grab he needed to differ from the cast.

Glasses Joe Higashi joins the free Season 1 pass alongside Andy and Street Fighter’s Ken. Street Fighter’s Chun-Li will follow Joe’s release in December with Mr. Big to appear next year.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is currently available to play on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store).
