Zaun was safe in the hands of Vander’s watch, but thanks to Singed, the man we once knew is gone in 2XKO. Only Warwick remains with tail and shadow alike. Revealed with the 2XKO Early Access trailer is the Yasuo partner that is all about the fangs. The devs went into the claws of the beast with Warwick to give players a feel of what’s become of this League of Legends character.
Warwick’s two specials, Wrath of the Beast and Rage of the Beast, can avoid projectiles once in run state. Primal Leap reminds me of KOF’s Mai Shiranui somewhat, with its flip style and ability to hit on the startup of the move itself. There is a clip where he also performs a wall-clinging move.
Warwick has a Bloodlust meter that gets built up whenever you use S2 attacks. Bloodlust increases the damage for Warwick’s beheadst once activated. Bloodlust meter progress stays even after he tags out. Rage of the Beast replaces Wrath, which has more of an uppercut finish. Feral Feast allows a bite to happen by biting the opponent. Feral Feast can take away Recovery Life from an opponent.
His Infinite Duress is for the Street Fighter’s Cammy and Marvel vs Capcom’s Spider-Man friends as he zips across the screen with aerial hits. His ultimate is also an OTG, which could mean danger after a knockdown.
Warwick is also the only character thus far who can heal himself. After Bloodlust is in and the Ultimate is done, Warwick gains back at least a good 30% of his health. He’s already brutal and now seems to be un-KOable. Warwick is huge as it is. This solidifies the pain. In what he gains in power, he loses in hurtbox. Some of the whiffed things that Warwick has can be countered easily.
Warwick is available now in 2XKO Early Access and can be purchased through the KO coins. I started playing with him for kicks and he might be my main replacement for Yasuo, too. As for everyone else, Happy Hunting.
