My Hero Academia and the NBA Team Up for Expanded Clothing Collab

By Josh PiedraOctober 8, 2025

Crunchyroll, the ultimate destination for anime fans worldwide, has joined forces with TOHO animation, the National Basketball Association (NBA), NBALAB, and HYPERFLY to bring a second fashion crossover to My Hero Academia fans featuring a unique mix of fan-favorite characters from the beloved anime paired with iconic NBA teams.

My Hero Academia

The collection, which will be a mix of streetwear and apparel, including t-shirts and hoodies,  will feature the series’ iconic main cast paired with the following NBA teams:

  • Izuku Midoriya – Boston Celtics
  • Katsuki Bakugo – New York Knicks
  • Ochaco Uraraka – Miami Heat
  • Shoto Todoroki – Philadelphia 76ers
  • Eijiro Kirishima – Chicago Bulls
  • Endeavor – Golden State Warriors
  • Mirko – Los Angeles Lakers

“From friendship against all odds to working with a team to overcome any challenge, ‘My Hero Academia’ is the perfect series for continued collaboration with the NBA, NBALAB and HYPERFLY,” said Anna Songco Adamian, VP of Global Consumer Products. “This year’s collab is even bigger, featuring an expanded character list including fan favorites Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Ochaco Uraraka, and more.”

“At NBALAB, we love surprising fans with collaborations they never saw coming”, said NBALAB CEO Eric Perugini. “By teaming up with Crunchyroll and Hyperfly on this latest collection, we’re blending the spirit of the NBA with the world of My Hero Academia to create gear that’s as fun, dynamic, and heroic as the fans who wear it.”

Items from the collection will be available to purchase at BoxLunch, as well as at select NBA Stores and via online shipping later this month. New York City-based fans are also encouraged to shop the collection at the NBA flagship store on Fifth Avenue during New York Comic Con.

The collaboration first debuted at NBA Con in 2023, with My Hero Academia’s iconic hero All Might featured on merchandise for nine NBA teams, designed by HYPERFLY, whose past NBA collections celebrating Asian culture were well received by fans and players alike.  The collaboration is driven by the NBALAB. The NBALAB aligns itself with companies who are pushing boundaries, making noise and building positive community in their field. The NBALAB bridges the gap between the brand and the NBA to create new products and experiences that are authentic for NBA fans.
