Monolith Soft Celebrates Anniversary With Special Fan Poll and Tease About Future

Can we get an announcement soon, please?
By Todd BlackOctober 1, 2025
Monolith Soft, Nintendo

While Nintendo has many teams under its banner making various impressive 1st party titles, or helping with 3rd party collaborations, many fans point to Monolith Soft as being one of the best within the publisher. The reason for this is that the team knows how to make grand titles with deep stories and characters, and they also know how to push hardware to the limit to deliver memorable experiences. As a fan of the Xenoblade Chronicles franchise, I can attest to just how well the company did over the last several years, bringing the saga to the Nintendo Switch with both remasters and new entries.

Today was a special day for Monolith Soft, as they celebrated their 26th anniversary. To honor that, the team went on their Twitter page to deliver the following message:

本日はモノリスソフトの設立記念日です。
いつも弊社を応援いただき、ありがとうございます。
これからも新しいゲームタイトルをお届けすべく、スタッフ一同頑張ってまいりますので、どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。 pic.twitter.com/hClwHdj90A

“Today is the anniversary of the founding of Monolith Soft. Thank you for always supporting our company. We, the staff, will continue to work hard to deliver new game titles in the future as well, so we look forward to your kind continued support.”

At present, we don’t know what the team is working on, although it’s easy to guess that it’ll be on the Nintendo Switch 2, which will give the team a LOT more leeway with pushing the graphics and the processing power of the titles they make. To that end, the team also put out a poll, asking fans to weigh in on how many games from the developer they have played:

モノリスソフトの開発タイトル、いくつ遊んだことがありますか?

At the time of this writing, with almost 9500 votes, over 42% have stated they have played between 1 and 5 titles from the team. 25% stated 11 or more!

Only time will tell when the developer reveals its next big game.
