Kindergarten Wars Announces TV Anime And Cast

Bandai Namco Filmworks announced Thursday that You Chiba’s Kindergarten Wars manga is receiving an TV anime adaptation. The first two cast members have also been announced, which include Atsumi Tanezaki as Rita and Kentarō Kumagai as Doug.

More information is expected to be revealed at Jump Festa 2026 later this year. The series has been slotted into the official schedule for December 20 at 3:10 PM JST.

The manga was originally serialized on the Shōnen Jump+ app and website in 2022. Shueisha began publishing the manga in tankōbon form in 2023 and released the 15th volume in August. Yen Press has licensed the series for English print and released the second volume last month.

In this year’s edition of the Most Wanted Anime adaptation poll, it finished in fifth place. The manga received a 7.69 score on My Anime List.
