Daoko Releases New Single “Boku dake no Photon” from Her Upcoming Digital EP

By Josh PiedraSeptember 29, 2025

Daoko released her new song “Boku dake no Photon” on September 24, 2025. This track is an advanced single from her upcoming digital EP, scheduled for release on November 19, 2025.

The song features lyrics by Daoko, with composition and arrangement by x0o0x_ (pronounced Wakame), an up-and-coming artist with 1.22 million YouTube subscribers known for a mysterious presence and dark, atmospheric style. Together they create a unique soundscape that seems to turn fragments of the city and memory into light.

The jacket artwork was illustrated by Numata Zombie!?, a frequent collaborator with singers and Vocaloid producers. The psychedelic, vivid colors expand the world of the song and leave a strong impression. A music video featuring this artwork has been released on YouTube.

Daoko’s first Asia tour, “THE ‘YOU’ ZIZAI ASIA TOUR 2025,” wraps up with its final show at Shibuya WWW X in Tokyo on November 28. Starting in Shenzhen and traveling through Shanghai, Bangkok, Taipei, and Seoul, the tour has drawn fans across the region.

Tickets for the Tokyo show go on sale on September 27: https://daoko.jp/live/4152/

The tour title, combining “YOU” and “ZIZAI” (“freely”), builds on the theme of Slash-&-Burn: clearing away the old to make room for new growth. It reflects Daoko’s wish to share new musical expressions with listeners, as she continues exploring fresh creative territory with fans across Asia.
