SEGA to Showcase Virtua Fighter and Stranger Than Heaven at Tokyo Game Show 2025

While we didn’t get any updates on either the Virtua Fighter project or Stranger Than Heaven (boo!) during the 2025 RGG Summit, we did see some exciting new reveals. As I suspected, though, both of those announcements were being held back for Tokyo Game Show 2025, and it looks like my assumption was right.

SEGA and RGG are definitely saving the best for last, as both games will be getting separate events that will take place during TGS 2025.

The Stranger Than Heaven Live Stage will take place on September 28 at 12:00 AM PDT / 3:00 AM EDT / 4:00 PM JST. There’s no mention as to what we’ll see, but at this point I’m sure we’ll take anything.

While the Project Tokyo Game Show Special Stage (Battle System) event for Virtua Fighter will take place on September 24, 2025, at 8:00 PM PDT / 11:00 PM EDT, and on September 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM JST.

Since it mentions the battle system, we can safely assume that we’re going to get more information on, well, the game’s battle system, and possible some new character reveals.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been dying for some more information on both of these games, and I’ll be tuning in, regardless of how late they are, to see what SEGA and RGG has to say. And not to worry, we’ll be recapping events after they take place.
