Baby Steps is Finally Out Today on PlayStation 5 and PC

By Sean GarmerSeptember 23, 2025
Baby Steps

After originally pushing Baby Steps out of 2024, and into a seemingly firm release date of September 8, 2025, the surprise of the small Goliath Hollow Knight Silksong forced another delay of a few weeks. Thankfully, the wait is finally over and Baby Steps has released today on PlayStation 5 and PC.

Baby Steps is the brainchild of three individuals Bennett Foddy, Gabe Cuzzillo, and Maxi Boch who also worked on some other Devolver Digital titles such as Ape Out, QWOP, and Getting Over It. However, Baby Steps carries its own DNA forcing players to literally put one foot in front of the other into a unique situation where walking is the game itself. The physics based system has players learn to walk main character Nate through the mountainous terrain, which I’m sure will provide its own myriad of laughs along the way.

The game also features a lengthy gaming experience with a dynamic soundtrack and onesie soilage that helps the world come alive, and for those looking forward to the adventure you can do so for the relatively low price of $19.99 (USD).

Devolver Digital also unveiled a new launch trailer for the game, which you can check out below…

Promising even more variety in Nate’s traversals such as swimming, walking through narrow passages and steep cliffs, amongst all of that, there’s boundless amounts of humor that’s bound to ensue as well.
