PlayStation State of Play Returns Tomorrow with New Reveals and Updates on Saros

By Keith MitchellSeptember 23, 2025
September PlayStation State of Play 2025

PlayStation has announced that its next State of Play broadcast will air on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. The presentation is set to run for more than 35 minutes and will feature new looks at anticipated third-party and indie titles, along with updates from several PlayStation Studios teams.

The showcase will stream live at 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET / 11:00 PM CEST, and on Thursday, September 25 at 6:00 AM JST, across YouTube and Twitch. It will be broadcast in English, with Japanese subtitles also available.

One of the highlights already confirmed is Saros, the upcoming title from Housemarque. This will be the first time we’ll get to see actual gameplay from the title and will give fans a deeper look at the studio’s first major project since Returnal. Saros was first revealed during the February 12, 2025, State of Play, and is described as a third-person action title that evolves the “gameplay-first” experience Returnal was known for. Players will take on the role of Arjun Devraj, a formidable Soltari Enforcer determined to track down his target at any cost. The game is currently slated for release in 2026.

With the release of the adventure title Ghost of Yōtei just around the corner, it’s also possible we’ll see more of the game during this showcase. Personally, I’d love to know more about the PlayStation 5 Pro features that Ghost of Yōtei might include, especially since PlayStation previously promised that all upcoming PS5 titles would “run better” on the PS5 Pro. Whether that means higher frame rates, improved visuals, or additional performance modes remains to be seen.

Let’s also not forget that Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls is the latest fighting game featuring Marvel characters, and wherever the game goes, it just causes gamers to go crazy. The past closed beta, that I wasn’t invited to, did extremely well, and there’s little doubt that we’ll see it or hear more about it during this State of Play.

On top of that, fans should expect possible new game reveals to round out the show. Be sure to tune in live and see what’s next for PlayStation.
