Mystic Moon is described as a competitive game of potions and puzzles for 2-4 players. Some of the gameplay features include:

- Barter with the mysterious Elder Witch
- Arrange ingredient puzzles in bubbling cauldrons
- Sabotage rivals with mischievous frogs or poisonous mushrooms
The objective of the game is to score the most points by the time that the moon completes its cycle, crowning yourself as the Supreme Witch.
