Joe Higashi Tornados into Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

By Kevin KellySeptember 22, 2025
Joe Higashi Joins Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Roster

Preecha’s teacher, Joe Higashi, now finally has a trailer for his Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves debut. He’s here, and of course, with his glasses. Joe is back and he’s ready to take on the different world. He’s doing his training time with Preecha, Terry, and Andy, in this trailer. Joe don’t even need a Stunt Double. Then again, that’s Chen Seizan’s challenge. This might give Tony Jaa a run for his money.

Returning to the FATAL FURY series for the first time in 26 years, Joe faces a new challenge: the silver screen. With his crushing kicks and a new pair of spectacles, one of the franchise’s most iconic faces will trade blows with Terry, Andy, his pupil Preecha, and the rest of South Town’s strongest.

Joe will be mixing it up with some of his peers and some new wolves. Joe and Ken have traded blows before, but never on the side of an SNK crossover. The master gets his animal spirit out in the open with tiger images on his Tiger Kick. He’s got some target combos to throw in the flair. His Bakuretsuken rapid punch returns with some finishes. He’s got a new OTG bounce move, also. His normals now have more elbows to throw. Screw Upper looks gnarly, too, even as an Initial Gear.

Joe will be joined by Chun-Li and Mr Big next to finish off the Season Pass. Andy and Ken have been heating up summer in the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Season 1 DLC, which was included in the game. Joe’s definite release date has not been revealed yet he will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2025 this week.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is available now on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic games. It also runs on handhelds pretty well, too.
