Rent-A-Girlfriend

Following the conclusion of its fourth season on Saturday, the production team behind the Rent-A-Girlfriend TV anime confirmed that the fifth season is in development. The fifth season will replace what was originally intended to be the second cour of season four, and covers the remaining chapters of the Hawaii arc.

To celebrate the announcement, character designer Kanna Hirayama unveiled a new illustration, which can be viewed below.

The fourth season aired in July 2025 and covered the first part of the Hawaii arc. It received a 6.18 score on My Anime List, the lowest of the series. When the fifth season airs next year, the manga written by Reiji Miyajima will be celebrating its 9th anniversary.

Series composer Kenichi Maeyamada also released the official soundtracks for seasons one, two, and three on streaming services in Japan following the season five announcement.
