WWE Announces Wrestlemania 43 for Saudi Arabia

WWE Wrestlemania

During the Worlds Collide PLE, WWE announced that Wrestlemania 43 will be taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

During the announcement, Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque said the following:

“We have already announced that the Royal Rumble is headed to Riyadh, January 31st of 2026. And today, we announced something that takes this partnership to a new level. So on behalf of His Excellency, on behalf of Nick Khan, WWE President, who was the driving force on this deal, I would like to announce that for the first time ever, wrestle will be held outside of the United States and Canada. In 2027, we are proud to announce that WrestleMania 43 will take place in Saudi Arabia as part of Riyadh season. History will undoubtedly be made again. Thanks to our partners at the GEA in Riyadh season, we just could not be more excited for this opportunity. This is an opportunity to show the world what I think most people already know that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans from everywhere. Thank you very much.”

The news was not well-received by fans, as those in live attendance booed the announcement and even started a “You Sold Out” chant.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, it was stated that John “Big” Gaburick was an instrumental part of securing the “mindblowing payout,” as he serves as WWE’s Saudi Arabia liaison. The actual figure isn’t known, but it was rumored by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter to be north of $100 million.

An official date for the 2027 Premium Live Event has not been announced.
