Tron Ares Shares Its Legacy and Future In New Trailer

Greetings, Program
By Todd BlackSeptember 12, 2025
Tron Ares

The Tron franchise has always been a unique one for Disney. The first movie was ahead of its time, and the second film took things to the next level, both visually and with its music (made by Daft Punk!) The franchise was so popular that both films were featured in the Kingdom Hearts franchise, and now, Tron Ares makes it clear that both previous films are canon to what’s coming up. The trailer starts with Flynn narrating things and highlighting the world of The Grid and how it was more alive, beautiful, and far more dangerous than he expected.

Now, Encom has taken things too far (once again) and has brought the programs of The Grid to our world, including one called Ares, played by Jared Leto. Apparently, not only is Ares not on board with being controlled, but the beings of The Grid want to come to the human world and take over, and they have the firepower to do it!

Check out the trailer below and see how things go down when Tron Ares arrives in theaters on October 10th!
