Short Form Video Comes to WEBTOON

WEBTOON Entertainment Inc. (Nasdaq: WBTN), a leading global entertainment company and home to some of the world’s largest storytelling platforms, today announced Video Episodes, a new short-form video feature that brings some of WEBTOON’s most exciting series to life on the company’s English-language platform. With dynamic motion, immersive sound and music, and real voice acting, Video Episodes let fans choose between reading or watching some of the best stories in the world on WEBTOON. Developed in close collaboration with WEBTOON Creators, Video Episodes immerse audiences in a new form of visual storytelling.

Starting today, a selection of 14 English WEBTOON Originals will each feature 20, five-minute Video Episodes available for free. New Video Episodes will continue to roll out through the rest of 2025, with additional episodes from the 14 launch titles and Video Episodes for new titles.

“Innovating to create new storytelling formats and experiences is part of our DNA at WEBTOON Entertainment,” said Yongsoo Kim, Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Global WEBTOON. “We know there’s a massive appetite for short-form video among Gen Z. With Video Episodes we’re making webcomics watchable, expanding how fans can enjoy WEBTOON series with a feature that can deepen engagement, help Creators reach more users, and deliver a new medium for amazing stories.”

I cannot wait for my audience to experience this new video version of Star Catcher!”

  • Vampire Family
