Nintendo Switch Online members will soon have a chance to put the pedal to the metal with the Drag x Drive: Global Jam demo event, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2. This special preview gives players a taste of the game’s fast-paced and unique action before its official launch on August 14, 2025.
Players can download the demo now and jump into any of the scheduled play sessions this weekend.

While Drag x Drive may look like an exciting experiment and a fresh take on a new game concept, early impressions haven’t been entirely smooth. I’ve spoken to several people who have expressed frustration over what they feel is an insensitivity in the game’s themes and presentation.
Others, however, have been more open to its ideas and direction, since there are scores of sports games, but they are rarely available that cater to sports for those who are handicapped.
Drag x Drive has been sparking conversations ever since its review, both positive and critical. Whether it proves to be a bold new direction or a divisive experiment will be decided when the final game launches. For now, the Global Jam demo is the perfect chance to get a first-hand feel for what this game is all about and if it succeeds when it releases.
