It was announced that the Made in Abyss anime series will receive a series of films to serve as sequels, taking place after The Golden City of the Scorching Sun arc. The first film is slated to premiere in 2026.
The first film will be titled Made in Abyss: Mezameru Shinpi (Awakening Mystery) and will be produced by Kinema Citrus. The key art for the film features brand-new characters Tepaste and Cravagli.
In celebration of this announcement, a Film Concert is scheduled for February 8, 2026. Kevin Penkin, the series composer, will be leading the orchestra. The cast from the anime series will also be in attendance at the concert. The concert is slated to be held at the Nakano ZERO in Tokyo.
