Indie World

It’s that time again! Time to talk about another Indie World Showcase that Nintendo has dropped. In today’s 15-minute presentation, we got some glimpses into games that will be available on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, or both! Plus, there are demos for some games out right now, while others are fully out right now!

Arguably, the “highlight” game was Mina the Hollower, the Zelda-esque title from Yacht Club Games that was announced not only to release on October 31st, but also has a demo out for you to play! Be sure to check it out!

Another unique title was Neverway, where a young girl makes a deal with a dark entity and becomes a part of a unique world where she’ll need to fight, romance, deceive, and more, all so she can survive and pay off the debt that she owes. The unique visual style makes the title pop in various ways, so be sure to check it out when it drops next year.

If you’re looking for more “quirky” games, then check out Is This Seat Taken? The game is all about putting people in places where they will truly be happy. You’ll get a variety of seating scenarios and locations and have to adapt on the fly to ensure everyone is happy! Do you think you can do that?

For those who want even more retro feels, last year’s acclaimed title UFO 50, which has 50 games based on the NES era of titles, is available RIGHT now on the Switch and Switch 2.

Finally, there’s Glaciered, where you will play a unique creature in a version of Earth 65 million years into the future! To protect life in the frozen oceans, you’ll battle against various foes and power up your skills and abilities so you can take on all manner of threats.
