AEW Wrestler Samoa Joe Notes Making Twisted Metal Is Technically Tougher Than Wrestling

Joe! Joe! Joe! Joe!

Twisted Metal Season 2 has started over on Peacock, and many fans of the gaming franchise are thrilled that the series is finally dabbling in the infamous tournament that is the focus of the series games. One of the racers in that competition is the infamous Sweet Tooth, who is played, in physical form at least, by AEW wrestler Samoa Joe. Joe is one of the most beloved wrestlers in the game, and he’s really good at acting, too, even impressing fellow co-star Anthony Mackie on set. However, what also might surprise you is that when it comes to acting versus wrestling…acting is a bit tougher in Joe’s mind.

This comes from ComicBook.com, which interviewed Samoa Joe during his press outing at San Diego Comic Con. When asked about comparing the two, he said the following:

“Wow, well there’s pros and cons to each, and I’ve said this a few times, but I think when it comes to pro wrestling, you kind of have to be on for one take. It’s gotta be perfect, it’s gotta be live, and it’s got to go and then you’re done. Whereas in this world, you have to have a great take 30 times in a row, 40 times in a row, it’s an exercise in stamina. So yeah, as far as the stamina test, this is a much more difficult endeavor for me at least.”

Oh, and if you’re curious, yes, Samoa Joe is up for dressing as Sweet Tooth and bringing his ride for a match in AEW. Make it happen, Tony Khan!!!

Anyway, Twisted Metal Season 2 has its first three episodes up now, with a new episode dropping every week!
