Fan Expo Canada Getting Metroid Prime 4 Beyond Demo!

By Todd BlackAugust 3, 2025
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
You have no idea how long I've waited for this!

The rest of 2025 is still pretty much a mystery for Nintendo fans, as we wait eagerly for news of what the next big Switch 2 game will be. Sure, we JUST got Donkey Kong Bananza (and my review highlights how awesome it is!), but we always need something new to look forward to. For many, that game to look forward to is Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. The title from Retro Studios has been in the works for a LONG time, but it has been slated for release in 2025, and many want a Nintendo Direct to confirm that soon.

While we wait, though, it’s been noted on the official Nintendo website that at Fan Expo Canada, players can get their hands on Metroid Prime 4 via a demo:

Metroid Prime 4 will be playable at Fan Expo Canada. Metroid Prime 4 is coming "later in 2025"Maybe it will end up being a holiday game after all. www.nintendo.com/en-ca/whatsn…

More than likely, players will get the chance to play the opening section that was shown at the Treehouse Live event earlier this year, giving them a feel for how the game will handle on the Switch 2 and how gorgeous it will look.

For those unable to go to Fan Expo Canada, we’ll just have to wait for another announcement about the game to find out when we all can play it.
