Darksiders 4 Teased During THQ Nordic Showcase 2025, All Four Horsemen Confirmed

Here we go. THQ has started the hype machine for Darksiders 4, and during the THQ Nordic Showcase 2025, a very brief teaser for Darksiders 4 was shown. In this trailer, we can see War, a character who has been the central figure in the series for one reason or another, being spoken to by what seems like one of the Charred Council, but that’s not all.

But I’m getting ahead of myself. First, check out the teaser.

Yet, despite this teaser being short, coming in under a minute, what we saw was more than enough to get excited, mainly because of what Gunfire Games has planned. Ever since Darksiders 4 was teased during the THQ Nordic Showcase 2024, and since Gunfire Games finished working on Remnant 2 (come back!), fans of the series have been wondering what the story would be next.

Well, now we know that Darksiders 4 will feature all four of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, taking a page from the Fast and the Furious movies, because it’s about FAMILY.

Traditionally, the Darksiders games have featured one protagonist, with the exception being Darksiders Genesis. Darksiders featured War trying to clear his name of starting the Apocalypse. In Darksiders 2, which ran parallel to the first Darksiders, Death was on a personal vendetta, trying to clear War’s name and bring back humanity that was wiped out during the Apocalypse. Darksiders 3 was a different beast as it featured Fury, the female Horseman, ultimately discovering that the Charred Council isn’t what it seems, and once again ran parallel to the first game. Darksiders Genesis acts as a prequel, featuring Strife alongside War, tasked with saving mankind, and kind of hints at Darksiders 4.

Chronologically, the order of the games is Darksiders Genesis -> Darksiders -> Darksiders 3 -> Darksiders 2. Needless to say, the timeline for Darksiders is a bit complicated.

Still, I can’t wait. If we’re getting this, then hopefully we’re going to get a release date or, at the very least, more consistent updates.
