Combat skills won’t be everything to survive in Grounded 2. You’ll also need to keep track of your hunger and thirst if you want to avoid dying during an important expedition. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get water and carry it with you, so you don’t have to keep searching for it constantly.
How to Get Water Easily in Grounded 2
To start carrying water around, you’ll need to craft a canteen. For that, head to your workbench and open it. On the consumables tab, you’ll find the canteen recipe. You’ll need three grub hides and two crude rope. To get crude rope, gather plant fiber from plants or chopped grass stems. For grub hide, look for rocks that move, dig them up, and defeat the grubs inside. Once you have the necessary materials, craft the canteen. This canteen can hold two drops of water and is essential for storing water when you’re out exploring.
To find water, you can drink from the remains of any creature you defeat, but keep in mind that this can lead to a poison effect. For early game players, ponds are another option, though the water from ponds is not ideal. It’s better to stick to dew drops for clean water.
How to Collect Water
To collect water, equip your canteen by placing it in your hot bar. As you explore, look for water droplets on leaves. These are easy to collect; just walk up and interact with the droplet to fill your canteen.
You can also hit the leaf with a tool to drop the water, which you can scoop up with your canteen. Once you’ve filled your canteen, you can drink directly from it. This method of collecting water is the most reliable in the early game.
