Pokemon Legends Z-A Already Making Pre-Sale Splash In Japan

They clearly still want to catch'em all!

Pokemon Legends Z-A

Right now, Nintendo fans are in a unique “state of flux.” The reason I say this is because the Nintendo Switch 2 is out, and it’s doing really well. Epic games like Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza are out, and by all accounts, they’re doing incredibly well (we don’t have full official numbers for either just yet). The flux, as it were, comes with what fans are meant to be excited for next. As of right now, we only have one smaller title announced for August, via Drag X Drive, nothing for September, and Pokemon Legends Z-A coming out in October.

Many are hoping the long-rumored Nintendo Direct drops next week so we can gain more “insight” into what comes next, but in Japan right now, they’re fine with just knowing about Pokemon Legends Z-A, as it’s already climbed up the Amazon Japan sales charts:

Pokémon Legends Z-A is currently the best selling game on Amazon Japan. Over the holidays, Pokémon and Dragon Quest are going to drive Switch 2 sales in Japan.

Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are likely thrilled that both the Switch and Switch 2 versions are on the top of the charts, especially since many within Japan haven’t been able to get their hands on the new system just yet, so the dual release will help ensure the game’s success in the nation.

Plus, there’s also the Switch 2 bundle that comes with the game, so that’ll likely be a hit, too. The game does look to be a lot of fun, and we’ll get to try it for ourselves on October 16th.
