Bandai Namco Music Live Festival at Anime Friends 2025

By Josh PiedraJuly 25, 2025

The Bandai Namco Music Live Festival returned to Anime Friends 2025, held in São Paulo, Brazil from July 3 to 6. This marks the second consecutive year the festival has appeared at South America’s largest anime convention, which draws an annual attendance of around 150,000.

Bandai Namco Music Live manages labels including Lantis, SUNRISE Music, Kiramune, MoooD Records, and UNIERA, and is home to a diverse roster of artists. On the festival’s opening day, four acts took the stage: ASH DA HERO, STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION, Nowlu, and MindaRyn.

Nowlu Kicks Off the Show with Her Anisong Debut

Nowlu opened the festival with a confident performance that defied the fact it was her first-ever live show. She began with “Arika” (GUILTY GEAR STRIVE: DUAL RULERS) and “yoin” (Wingman).

“I’m so happy to have my first live show here in São Paulo,” she said with a smile, drawing warm cheers. She followed with “Stuck on you” (More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers), creating a calm, intimate moment that brought the crowd together. Her debut ended to enthusiastic applause.

Next up was a DJ set by ASH DA HERO member DJ Dhalsim. The crowd couldn’t help but dance as he spun one anisong hit after another: “Ai♡Scream!”, “Bokura wa Ima no Naka de” (Love Live!), “Shika-iro Days” (My Deer Friend Nokotan), and “Hare Hare Yukai” (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya). The energy of anisong swept through São Paulo, connecting fans across generations.

“Brazil, I’m back!” MindaRyn Returns with a Smile

MindaRyn took the stage next, returning for a second year in a row. “Brazil, I’m back!” she called out with a big smile before launching into a set of three powerful yet gentle songs: “Daylight” (Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest Season 2), “Shiny Girl” (SHY), and “Fireworks” (Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion)

Next Stop: Southeast Asia!

The Bandai Namco Music Live Festival isn’t just heating up Brazil; it’s heading to Southeast Asia next. The festival will appear at COS-MIC 2025 in Malaysia on September 13, and AniEx 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand on November 22.

The anisong excitement born in São Paulo is spreading across borders, forging new connections through music. The journey of the Bandai Namco Music Live Festival is only just beginning.
