Riot Games has released a trailer showcasing Vi’s debut in 2XKO. One of the lead protagonists from the League of Legends: Arcane animation, Vi isn’t afraid to scrap with just about anyone. She doesn’t even need a cross-up to unleash haymakers on her foes. Vi boasts a quick and aggressive move set that lets her close gaps and pressure opponents.
Jinx’s reveal already felt like a strong step, and now that her sister has joined the roster, things are heating up. Vi is one of the most highly requested characters for the game, and her addition makes perfect sense.
Some new gameplay mechanics are also on display—such as a powerful blow that knocks opponents into entirely new scenes. One example shows Vi literally punching Ahri into another part of the forest. Vi also has access to a double jump, giving her more mobility and ways to escape tough situations.
2XKO When?
Players will have a chance to try 2XKO during the beta, either in person at Evo USA 2025 or online via the Alpha Lab starting September 9th for PC players. The lingering question remains: when will this title officially launch?
Riot hasn’t provided a release date, and we’re now a few Evo tournaments past the game’s original reveal. The Closed Beta might end up being a long-term test with no definitive end date, receiving periodic updates instead. The goal seems to be to keep it available for as long as possible.
