Spider-Man vs Deku Unleashes “Absolute Cinema” Via Its Death Battle

Seriously, the animation is the definition of "art."

Spider-Man vs Deku, Death Battle

I’ll admit, when Spider-Man vs Deku was announced after the hilarious Wile E. Coyote vs. Tom Cat episode, I wondered if Death Battle had made a mistake in both timing and what matches to do this year. However, after watching the episode, I’m once again reminded that “there’s a purpose for things,” even if you don’t understand it at the time. Miles Morales and Izuku Midoriya have both been in fights in the past. Plus, they had both lost their battles (to Static and Asta, respectively,) so they were due for some more screen time, especially after Across The Spider-Verse released and My Hero Academia ended.

However, what makes this fight so incredible isn’t just how Death Battle ties the two together in how they both strive to “be the best hero they can be,” but the animation by animator Moro is the definition of “Absolute Cinema.” Seriously, you’ll be blown away by how good it looks. So, just watch Spider-Man vs Deku for yourself and see what I mean!

Next time on Death Battle…it’s Hulk vs. Godzilla!!!! Oh yeah, this one will be fun.
