If you’re not hyped for the upcoming release of Donkey Kong Bananza, you might need some professional help. The game has gotten a lot of buzz and hype since its Direct a few weeks ago, and rightfully so! This looks and plays like no Donkey Kong game that came before it, and that makes many eager to see what else lies beneath its surface. Literally and metaphorically! Today, Nintendo dropped an overview trailer for the game. …if we’re being honest, though, it’s really just a shortened version of the Direct we just mentioned.
Even still, there are plenty of great glimpses into what will make Donkey Kong Bananza unique. There’s the multi-layered underground world that DK will explore, there’s the fact that Pauline is a key character in the story and gameplay, there’s the “Bananza Transformations” that’ll give DK even more power, and, of course, the destructible environments!
Oh, and don’t miss out on all the soundtrack references that are within. This game has plenty of tracks to listen to and collect, so be sure to get them all! You can watch the full overview trailer below, and get the game on July 17th on Nintendo Switch 2!
