Silent Hill f Developers Head to Anime Expo 2025 for Exclusive Panel

Anime Expo 2025 - Slient Hill f panel-01

Konami is bringing the fog to Los Angeles this week, and it’s not just the smog. The creators behind the upcoming psychological horror Silent Hill f are making their way to Anime Expo 2025 with a special guest panel and a chilling booth experience set to immerse fans in the franchise’s next terrifying chapter.

This panel will take place on July 4 at 3:15 PM PDT / 6:15 PM EDT in the JW Marriott Platinum Ballroom, and will feature some of the biggest names behind the upcoming Silent Hill f title, including series producer Motoi Okamoto, scriptwriter Ryukishi07 (of Higurashi and Umineko fame), and legendary composer Akira Yamaoka. Together, they’ll dive into the development process, story direction, and what makes this latest entry so unsettling—plus, they’ll be answering select fan-submitted questions.

But it doesn’t end at the panel.

Fans at Anime Expo 2025 can also step directly into the fog by visiting the Silent Hill f booth in the Entertainment Hall (Booth E-15). From July 3–6, attendees will be able to take photos with themed backdrops, check out exclusive items (while supplies last), and maybe even catch a few glimpses into the horrors that await in the full game.

SILENT HILL f

Silent Hill f is the next mainline entry in the legendary horror franchise, set in 1960s Japan. It follows Shimizu Hinako, a young girl struggling with societal expectations as her quiet town of Ebisugaoka descends into a nightmarish, fog-covered realm. Combining psychological horror with Japanese folklore, the game blends classic Silent Hill tension with a fresh narrative twist that explores isolation, decay, and fear in deeply personal ways. Following the success of the Silent Hill 2 remake and the release of Silent Hill: Downpour back in 2012, fans are more than ready for Silent Hill f—the first brand-new entry in over a decade.

Silent Hill f is set to release this fall in 2025, though Konami has yet to confirm an exact date. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, bringing its signature atmospheric horror and mind-bending storytelling to modern platforms for the first time in years. With next-gen visuals and a deeply unsettling new setting, it’s shaping up to be a major return for the franchise.
