Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the new World of Warcraft expansion, Midnight, will be revealed at Gamescom, at least in a systems and features way. The expansion was originally announced at the previous BlizzCON event in 2023 when they unveiled their World Soul Saga storyline.
So far, we know that Player Housing will be a part of the Midnight expansion and that we will be returning to the elven lands of Quel’thelas to protect the Sunwell from the forces of the void.
As for what else will be revealed, we will find out at Gamescom. Blizzard made the following official statement:
World of Warcraft will be at gamescom 2025! Join us for five days of non-stop community celebration. Get ready for a Mythic Dungeon and Arena Showcase, Cosplay Showcase, Developer and Creator Meet and Greets, and much more.
