NOVELOUS, the app that translates light novels, manga, and webtoons into English from major Japanese publisher Shogakukan (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Detective Conan), invites fans to vote for the next big anime-inspired story in the My Anime List x Honeyfeed Writing Contest. Make your voice heard by submitting your vote for the best English-original light novels from now until July 24, 2025!
Judges have selected ten finalists from nearly 500 submissions, and now anime fans across North America can vote for their favorite original light novel within the NOVELOUS app. Finalists have the opportunity to have their stories featured on NOVELOUS alongside dozens of other Japanese light novels, manga, and webtoons, now available in English for the first time.
Beyond having their work featured on NOVELOUS, three finalists will win a total of $9,000.
- $3,000 – Highest-voted story in the “Love Transcends Boundaries” prompt category
- $3,000 – Highest-voted story in the “The End is Now” prompt category
- $3,000 – Light novel with the most votes overall from official event judges
The public voting period will run from today until July 24, 2025. All winners will be announced on August 4, 2025.
