The video game world is full of talented voice actors who help bring characters to life to make them feel more “real” and resonate with players. Even with characters that don’t talk a lot, voice actors are brought in to give them some extra flair and personality. Princess Peach is one such example of this. If you think about her roles in the various Mario games and the spinoffs, her lines are limited, and yet, she has had a voice actress for years in the form of Samantha Kelly. However, with the arrival of Mario Kart World on the Nintendo Switch 2, she revealed that she no longer voices the princess or her Toads.

It is sad to see her go, especially after Princess Peach finally got a new solo game on the Nintendo Switch last year. However, Nintendo has been switching up its voice actors recently, including famously replacing Charles Martinet after decades of voicing Mario.
