Masahiro Sakurai Has Gotten His Nintendo Switch 2 System

He deserves it. You know it's true.

Masahiro Sakurai, Nintendo Switch 2

Depending on how much you’re on social media today, you’ll see numerous posts about people either getting or not getting the Nintendo Switch 2. Even the three hosts of the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast have their own “unique stories” about getting it or not getting it. Some people are getting it with laughable ease, and a select few had already gotten it before the launch day even came! One of those people was the legendary Masahiro Sakurai. Yes, the man behind Kirby and Super Smash Bros posted on his Twitter feed that he had gotten his console.

To be clear, he didn’t get a “free copy” or get it as a gift from Nintendo. Instead, he had to go through the Japanese lottery system that the country had for the console, and he earned it that way.

Sakurai received his Nintendo Switch 2.He also wanted to remind in case we didn't know that he is developing software for this Switch model…

Oh, and he also mentioned that he is working on Kirby Air Riders for the Nintendo Switch 2, which will arrive later this year. Regardless, if anyone deserves to have a console to have fun on while also working on great games, it’s Masahiro Sakurai. He’s just…so great.
