We are less than twelve hours away from the arrival of the Nintendo Switch 2, and with it comes a plethora of games to play, with the “killer app” being Mario Kart World. The game is meant to be a true expansion of everything the franchise has been over the years, including having some roster characters you wouldn’t expect…like Cow. That’s it. Just a cow from Moo Moo Plains. What a world we live in. Many were actually surprised that some classic Nintendo characters like Diddy Kong didn’t make the cut, but some feel it could be something The Big N does via DLC.
In a chat with IGN, Mario Kart World producer Kosuke Yabuki was talking about the Cow character before being asked about Diddy Kong potentially being in the game. His response was as follows:
“I’m afraid I can’t say anything at this time.”
That does imply that something could be said “later on,” but make of it what you will. What we CAN say is that this kind of DLC isn’t unfamiliar to Mario Kart fans, as Link, Isabelle, and the Inklings were DLC characters in the last game.
